I think maybe there is a story in me. A story that is only my own. The one that uses bits and pieces from my own life in new and unexpected ways.

I think maybe this story wants to surprise me. I know it wants to remain mysterious for now.

I think maybe if I jettison all those stupid free writing, spew what's in your head exercises out the window, and invite my story in for a cup of cocoa that I might be able to coax it off the doorsill.

Maybe. I think.

This makes me absurdly happy to see, as I write original fiction too. Its a lonely place out here! No fans to scream and comment and cheer you on, at least until its sold. Then it is fan emails! Those are awesome too.

I'm always happy to talk orig fic shop talk! The hardest part? Inviting ONLY your story inside and not everyone else. Some can do it--Sam is one--I am one who cannot. I have to have the intimacy of the experience tucked inside my head and not touched by any others' thoughts and opinions. And that is when it can get sooo lonely and hard!

But it is worth it, so worth it. I am excited for you!
