um. please to not mix up job specs there viagrapeddler. LOL
my desk is covered in diet pepsi bottles, I have cramps, am starving and do NOT want to eat ... and I have got to find myself something productive to do. Hopefully coworker comes back soon so I can start the training ... otherwise they'll be mighty confused in the coming weeks/months.
Still can't believe I get to go back to the library. And there are books there. I'll be in the film and cd collection/part of the Arts and Humanities library. Still don't know anything about what the new job will actually entail but I suspect I will be on the desk a lot, fetching films and music (its a closed collection) and checking out a bazillion headphones a day.
Just imagining a land where I can park in a parking deck about a five minute walk from my workplace ... and the workplace sells coffee, and has water bottle filling stations ... and books ... and well. Its been fifteen years since I worked in there, and I am SO ready to go back.
Overheard a conversation this morning that they are planning to borrow "one of those hot dog cookers, like Sheetz uses..." for our big going away party next Friday. I'm okay with hotdogs, but seriously. Hilarious that that's SPECIAL stuff.
Did I say I found out last week where the other person who's being sent over to the library is going. Well, more or less. Not sure what she'll be doing, but the important bit is she's going to be based at the far opposite end of the building from where I'll be. I can't say I mind.
I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. To find out what is really going to SUCK about the new job. I mean, it just can't be all good, right? I'm too skeptical to believe THAT ;)
But at least this down time gives me an opportunity to glut myself on the latest BAMF!John and Sherlock in Afghanistan WIP chapter.
