bluecastle | the picspam of cuteness (i.e. a couple days worth of retail therapy)

Here's the grey houndstooth (I know you can't see the pattern in the picture) London Fog jacket from Saturday's thrifting, with today's too adorable to resist red bag. (yes, I always carry the largest bag know to mankind). The coat is great, although I am a bit baffled by the label which says to wash and then rinse three times --- is that some kind of London Fog magic? Or is this actual vintage London Fog? Did size 16 used to be a lot larger? Cause that's what it's labeled, and I ain't been a size 16 in YEARS.

This is me multitasking while on the evening momcall. Bought this thinking more about it's costumey potential than an everyday wear kind of thing. With some braid, or some lace or whatnot... it's the start of a pretty cool frock coat (or frock-esque) coat.

This actually looked more like a smock top in the store, but after putting it on, it's certainly long enough to wear as a dress. Next time hopefully with a white cami under it and not the odd black one! Also, cute new shoes...

They actually have a tiny tiny kitten heel. I've been looking for a pair of brown mary jane's and I think these will fill the bill admirably.

I had no notion of buying another dress, but when I was trolling for Garcia icons this morning, I saw the turquiose number she had on with the new red hair, and remembered what a good color combo that is. And this was also too impossibly cute to pass up. Now to find some turquoise hair ribbons for the total Garcia look :)

Of all of the pieces I got, I'm least sold on this blue sweater. I love the nauticalness of it... but it's just too long. But it was only $6.00, so I think I can work with it.

Here's the blue pleated skirt from Saturday's thrift store run... with a cute little smock top...

Which is just as cute (if not cuter) with jeans... I might just wear this tomorrow to the movies. And, it's Gloria Vanderbilt, fwiw, which is probably not a whole lot! The peplum could be just a tad longer... but it's still got a great vintage feel...
