bluecastleSo my down-marketed quiche turned out rather yummy. Said recipe called for portobellos and gouda and whatnot. Frozen broccoli, button mushrooms, and generic swiss cheese was more to my budget.
Given, I am eating my lunch at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, but I am battling a nasty nasty headache, and have not felt like even thinking about eating until now. Which is sad on the first day that I rededicate myself to packing a lunch and eating in. I even froze up little juice boxes for edible ice packs, and nestled the cherry tomatoes into little cupcake liners with hearts on them...
And I may not get to the pretzels, cherry tomatoes or grapes. We'll see how the quiche sits on my stomache. But they'll keep...
Still waiting to hear from the garage on the state of my vehicle. Waiting IMPATIENTLY. If it's going to be bad news I would rather know sooner rather than later.
ETA: If I had known all I needed to do was post this in order to hear from the garage, I might have done it sooner! The news is not great, but not horrific. Leaky Hoses (insert innuendo) that they will have to custom make replacements for so as to save me GREAT amounts of money on factory original parts. (The car is 11 years old now.) Don't know when it will be done, but they said they could do it for a bit under $200.00. This is manageable, if not ideal.
And given that my car is all but impounded I am stuck at work dealing with the nasty headache, instead of at home tucked up in bed with an excess of painkillers.
This monday sorta bites.
Keep trying to concentrate on it being next week, when I'll be within a couple hours of our destination on the Vermont Bus Trip.
Going to go eat my Andes mints now and preserve ma flist from any more of teh suck.
