ways in which my life must be finessed.

So. Tomorrow I go off to be my mom's date on a bus trip with her one retiree's group. I think we're headed for The Allenberry Playhouse for a buffet lunch with Santa and the Missus, and then will attend the playhouse's Christmas play. Something about elves. I think.

All of which is fine. I get out of the office for a day. I go on a trip and see a show, and I hear the buffet lunch is FABULOUS (read: huge).

BUT WHAT THE EFFING EFF AM I GOING TO WEAR? :D This is generally the first question I ask myself when a new event pops up. Heck, even the ice planet on a stick Firefly party required parsing which pj's I could wear in public!

Whatever it is, or is going to be, needs to be:
1. comfy for the bus ride.
2. neat, clean, and sedate enough not to cause my mother to have COMMENTS
3. festive. but I suspect pulling out the Christmas sweater might be overkill. there may be christmas socks tho :)
4. still ME.

UGH. This will require many minutes/hours of staring at clothes and trying things on tonight. The front runner right now in my head is my silver striped bib-front top with jeans and a red sweater. Maybe. Jeans are not all that comfy onna bus, so... *throws up hands*

Then I'll have to figure out which coat and with purse. And then whether the pigtails are too juvenile, when mostly they just keep the hair outta my face.

Normal people would just put on a shirt and a pair of pants and get on the damn bus already :) LOL.
