old man winter is up my nose today

So I made this "resolution" / plan / sommat that on Monday nights in 2012, given that there's nothing much on TV that night, I would take myself out to see a movie.
This is the third week of January, and it looks like I'm only going to have made that true one week out of three.
First Monday, the weather was bad, and I wasn't feeling well, so I stayed in and watched The Secret of Kells from my Netflix queue.
Second Monday, all went well and I had a fabulous night out with gorgeous English men watching Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
Now, week three we're supposed to get freezing rain tonight. I had planned to go to the local performing arts center to see My Week With Marilyn, since it never played in either of the two multi-plexes we have, and I really wanted to see it. But alas ... this winter weather is screwing me over.
So I've been trying to come up with Plan B. Just sort of casting around for some movie to catch my eye isn't really working for me. The sort of arbitrary rules in my head say it should be a) something I haven't seen before b) a movie (not just a few tv episodes or something. I think I just need to decide to either just pick the first movie on my Netflix instant queue, or starting working through some list of like Oscar winners, or 100 bests or something. Just to give me a plan.
Unless someone has some terrific movie they'd like to recommend...
Gah. Lack of plan does my head in. *pulls up bootstraps*
