upbeat on a monday

So it's not always good news when the boss shows up in my office first thing in the morning. But there he was this morning waving a paper copy of an email he got. (He always prints them and walks down the hall to show them to me!) As a result of the Music and Media Center supervisor leaving -- more or less months after he got here -- to teach English in South Korea... They apparently find themselves w/o a lot of/any full time employees over there over the summer. (which I find hard to believe but I didn't pay all that much attention to the details of his email).

So I have no details yet, but it seems as though I might be spending part of my summer work days over in the ACTUAL LIBRARY (OMG). YAY!

I worked over there an afternoon or so a week a couple years ago ... so there will be beaucoup catching up to do, but a) I get out of this office for a while and b) get part of my wish to work over there full time.

Stay tuned. Off now to eat and then dive back into work. After seeing a documentary about the stage version of the documentary Grey Gardens over the weekend, I bought the Broadway score and am enjoying listening to that while I do my boring paperwork/data entry.

Also paragraphs says a bunch of you want me to love Game of Thrones, so I put it on my Kindle last night. More reading. If only I wasn't in the middle of 8 other books LOL.

Congrats on the hopefully library position! I cry, I want to do that so bad, dammit--but it could be years before I can do the same. SO GO YOU!!!!!

hey, I'm shallow... I saw that picture of Nicolaj my fave Danish dish in TV Guide and that helped spark my interest ;)

I'm a 62% of the way through the free sample. will grab the rest of it when I get home to my wifi. :)

Library thing could be really good, although it is essentially just more work on top of the job I already have. This is part of what happens when workplace cannot hire new people. Fingers crossed anyway till I get the deets. At least its another kick in the pants to get my actual work super caught up!!!

YAY! And yes they are cool! I have listened to the books several times now, as well as read the last two books.

It is sad that there is a no-more-hiring thing going on. Dammit. But hey it sounds like you will really enjoy it so this is good news!
