The title of this post should be "Friends!dates: Feast of Famine?"

I don't know if there's anything to that "put your desires out into the universe and the universe will fulfill them" thing. Mostly I think its hooey.

But.

Monday, I had barely gotten done writing an entry in my realworld blog about how great I felt after spending a few hours with the BFF the other night, and so in my quest to find JOY in my life, I was going to make an effort to be social at least once a week (quantifiable goals and all that) and when I went to check my email after posting, there was a Facebook request from a friend I hadn't seen in 5 months to do dinner sometime this week. (Request was to a bunch of us, not just me, but no matter.) We're still working out yes or no, but hopefully Thursday there will be dinner and fun.

Then this morning I hadn't gotten around to packing a lunch, so I dragged my friend who works in the next building out to lunch, during which she said "I want to go see Harry Potter this week." and I said "Well, Tuesdays the dollar movie place does dollar sodas and dollar popcorn." and she said "What are you doing tonight." :) So I will go tonight and see HP7.1 for the third time.

Should still leave me time to make pancakes and sausage for dinner. I don't really care that its a religious thing, but part of the JOY hunt is making celebrations wherever I can, so PANCAKES! If it doesn't take me forever to whip up a batch of scrummy pancakes, I might even have time to shove some writing in before she comes and picks me up. Also I should check the running time so I'd know for sure if I'll be home in time to catch the White Collar finale. I suspect I might miss a bit at the beginning, but should be there for most of it. *crosses fingers* But at least USA is pretty good about getting episodes up PDQ.

OH, should probably note that I will NOT be doing summer theater this summer. BFF got a lead. I got ZILCH. This has WAY more to do with there only being 12 female parts for the 27 male parts (across all four straight plays) than it does about whether or not I am talented. Stupid play selection anyway. Don't these people THINK? </bitter> LOL I didn't like any of the shows that much anyway, but I don't like to not be included either. But I'm mostly over it except for railing against the relative unfairness of it all.

So. good day, although now substantially more busy than expected :D
