Jan. 31st, 2011 02:19 pmwell, I want to put this past weekend behind me, how about you?
and now I'm looking at at least a thousand dollars to get my car fixed.
and there's impeding ice and snow and I will likely be spending a lot of time on the bus this week.
and the things at work I want to do I sort of can't and the things I don't want to do aren't very appealing either.
so distract me internets. I haven't read any fic in ever so long. got any good recs? Been watching a lot of Sherlock this weekend to take my mind off things, and you know what ... that unaired pilot is aces. (pun sort of intended). in many ways I think the acting is better/more natural, and there are a few minor things that I think are handled a bit better when condensed. sure we don't get Mycroft or Moriarty ... but adding them in when asked to expand a script just sort of makes sense. So Sherlock recs sound really good, but if there's anything else that you've read and want to share, drop me a comment!!!
also, have started a cracking good memoir called "Running the Books" about a guy who sort of falls into being a Boston prison librarian as he needs the benefits (!) and it's better/more stable than writing obits. Was hooked from the first sentence "Pimps make the best librarians."

So hang in there Monday-ers. And if its no longer Monday where you are ... so much the better :)
