yeah. just got back from dropping my cat off at the vet. he cried all the way there. I cried all the way home.

I'm not OVERLY concerned. He's had these spells where he has trouble peeing (urinating just sounds so clinical) before. This is the first one in a couple of years.

I watched over him all night, and he's generally okay, but clearly frustrated cause he wants to go but can't. or can't always.

was debating taking him to the vet as its all out warfare to get him into the carrier. but then [personal profile] paragraphs  said I had to :)

so now I will sit here by the phone and fret until they call.

also I get to ponder the wisdom of friending someone back on facebook who I knew years ago in a couple shows and she was kinda batshit crazy. ugh. do I ignore her completely, or friend her back, hope for the best, and be prepared to defriend if necessary. blargh.

so that's me, a fretting fool. INTERNETS DISTRACT ME!!

I tweeted something to cheer you. :) Poor Daniel! I just know when that would happen to Tobey, if we delayed getting him to the vet we'd end up in the pet hospital! Is he on that special food to help that? My vet told me lotsa males deal with this--is it crystals in his urine that form and make it hard to go?

As violent as he is about getting into the crate, I hope they can handle him okay at the vet's! Oh, his dignity crushed!

the bastard thing is he'll go right back into the crate for the damn vet... *snort*

yeah, typically its been granulations or whatever. they've said in the past that as long as he can still go, it's no big deal, but things get stopped up that's bad.

I do feed him the urinary tract food.

sigh. I didn't like leaving him there, but it was a last minute thing.

its pretty typical for boy cats yes. will just have to wait and see. ugh. not good at that.

thanks for the cheering up tho. I needed that laugh.

kitty has taken over the couch. I never talked to the doctor, just the nurse over the phone, but they gave him something for pain while he was there and sent him home with a prescription for some stuff that relaxes the bladder/urethra muscles and makes it easier for him to go.

which they said might lead to some accidents, but ok, so be it.

he's either tuckered out from the stress or the pain stuff. pretty mellow just lying here next to me ...

now to figure out before bedtime how to get him to take these giant pills. I think I will have to cut them and hide bits in cat treats!

whew.

we are going to sack out on the couch tonight and watch dvds. but at least it gave me a good journal entry for my december scrap journal :)
