STOP ME BEFORE I READ AGAIN... LOL
I am officially obsessed with this Merlin fic. I've read it three times in the last two days and I'm not even sure why exactly. But it's sweet, and hot, and touching, and an entirely (or y'know mostly) plausible AU set in the modern day English monarchy.
As I've been working on my longfic (7,000+ words and counting!) I have come to love the phrase "What if?" What if X happened? What if Y did this?
And this Merlin fic, man ... what if Prince Arthur WAS the Prince of Wales, and Uther was the King of England? What if Merlin was the protege of the royal physician, and also a little bit magic. What if Arthur and Merlin met accidentally one day ... what if??
Well, it's just a cracking good story, and so funny in spots I laugh myself silly.
And the ephemera ... if you read it make sure to read the Vanity Fair article. Adds a nice extra layer to it all.
Oh, hell, just go read it if you haven't already so I am not alone in this!
