a challenge
Aug. 1st, 2009 07:11 pmTrying to encourage myself to write more (and more regularly), so am challenging myself to write a drabble a day this month. Dug up some prompt tables from somewhere and have three words a day to draw inspiration from. We'll see how it goes. I often don't do well to a set schedule.
Drabble 1/31 – today’s prompts: evidence, lively, defiant.
“I don’t care what the facts are telling you Tosh. You need to listen to me!”
“Why should we trust you, Jack?” she asks, and really wants to know.
“Because you’ve seen things we can’t imagine?” Gwen asks him, frustrated.
“Because you tell us to? Well bollocks to that.” Owen sneers.
“Because he asks us to,” Ianto adds quietly from the doorway of Jack’s office.
And they find they cannot argue any more after that, and slowly filter out of Jack’s office. Ianto stands stiffly in the doorway, looking steadily at Jack until they pass, and then follows them out.
