Trying to encourage myself to write more (and more regularly), so am challenging myself to write a drabble a day this month. Dug up some prompt tables from somewhere and have three words a day to draw inspiration from. We'll see how it goes. I often don't do well to a set schedule.

Drabble 1/31 – today’s prompts: evidence, lively, defiant.

“I don’t care what the facts are telling you Tosh. You need to listen to me!”

“Why should we trust you, Jack?” she asks, and really wants to know.

“Because you’ve seen things we can’t imagine?” Gwen asks him, frustrated.

“Because you tell us to? Well bollocks to that.” Owen sneers.

“Because he asks us to,” Ianto adds quietly from the doorway of Jack’s office.

And they find they cannot argue any more after that, and slowly filter out of Jack’s office. Ianto stands stiffly in the doorway, looking steadily at Jack until they pass, and then follows them out.

a/n: found the need for a little jack/ianto lovin' here this evening... trying to write exactly 100 words is hard, but I think I should do more dabbling ... er... drabble-ing, as this was fun to write.

Repair

Suddenly, in stolen moments in shadowy nooks one would press the other firmly against the solid brick walls, lingering in long, slow, life-affirming kisses, finding security in the solidness of the architecture and the steady beat of their hearts.

There was no need for words. They sought only to elicit soft sighs of satisfaction as lips and teeth explored sensitive spots, and large warm hands wound their way amongst crisp cotton shirts, unerringly finding their way to well known pleasure points.

Sensualists both, they would taste and touch, eyes closed, reveling in the comforts to be found in these rough intimacies.
