I am trying to psych myself up to start writing my dark_fest vengeful Ianto story. I am toying with the idea of telling it from Ianto's POV. Anyone have any fave recs for stories told in Ianto's point of view.

If I do it, I'd like to work on getting the voice right ...

So if anyone has suggestions ... send 'em along...

That is a hard one because the Ianto in my head (even though I've written him myself) is the one that Nick writes. A non-wordy Ianto...I don't like Iantos that talk alot and are all speechy. Conservative in speech is what I like. LOL. I also like Ianto in Mandr's Gold Dust.

When are these puppies due? May 2nd? lol

yeah. I am stilling thinking about it. I'd have to come up with some reason for Ianto to be telling what he's doing.

dunno. just something I'm pondering. Also don't want to make this overly complex.

Hell, I don't even really know what the story IS yet...

LOL I know what mine is going to be but I haven't been in the mood yet. I will wait until after my trip to London. I'll be all dark and depressed when I get back. I'm too happy right now!

I have seen a few lately that were practically making speeches. In rewatching S1 lately, I was reminded again how little he said, but what he said had a particular punch. Some really great lines.

I'm looking forward to getting my reel_tw fic going as it will be in his POV (primarily or completely, I haven't decided) and I'll have to keep that in mind. I want to get started but I have sooo much going on this weekend! ARGH!!!! LOL. I mostly will be writing it in April, and am looking forward to that :).

yeah. not only does he not say much, what he does say is often not really what he means.

contemplating ways/situation he would be in where he'd be actually talking about his actions post CW.

I have a feeling a lot of retcon may be involved.

Man, I haven't started mine yet either. I doubt I'll do both of the prompts I signed up for. The one I'm going to do first will be Ianto's POV too. I've had some thoughts but haven't written anything yet. I've got to finish something else first. Ack! Good luck with yours. I love that prompt.
