... and then when I get there, realize no one actually has any issues, and get dismissed before they dole out the free lunch they promised.

ok. so the free lunch was probably going to be sandwiches and chips. but you don't invite people to a lunch meeting, and then kick them out before you give out the goodies.
what if I hadn't had leftover quiche in the fridge?
I DEMAND THAT YOU FEEL GUILTY OVER SCREWING ME OUT OF MY FREE LUNCH WHICH YOU ARE NO DOUBT ENJOYING IN MY ABSENCE.
