I don't actually know where my head's at lately ... I keep being all paranoid about shit that I shouldn't be worrying about. I even had myself convinced last night my cat was dying. yeah. he was napping. I'm a doofus.
Had hoped to not have to go alone to see some friends in their final performance of "The Tempest" but my pal bailed on me (stupid syllabuses needing to be written) so I went by my lonesome. It was okay. The director stepped in to play Stephano the drunken butler (men who act being scarce around these parts) despite it adding three weeks to his vacation and needing to be back in Brooklyn. I'm sorta glad he did, as he and the gal playing Trincolo were the highlights. Everyone else was just sorta okay. They managed to blow Prospero out of the water, and that ain't easy to do.

Also I kept laughing inappropriately at all the Sycorax references.

Yesterday, before the whole 'OMG is my cat dying' incident, I managed to commit porn.
Yesterday was also notable in that I cooked up a storm.
cold chicken, wild rice, and grape salad (for dinner)
broccoli, mushroom, and swiss quiche (for lunches this week)
tomato pie (a side dish for this week's dinners)
Meal planning is good. I should do it more.
So anyway... sitting here watching (or more like listening to) the NCIS marathon and trying to think calm thoughts!
Also trying to remember to reset my alarm for the morning as I have to get up early and take my car into to garage so they can check out that pesky CHECK ENGINE LIGHT thing.

Date: 2009-08-24 03:03 am (UTC)Am glad the cat is not dead or dying! LOL. He must be a very still cat.
I guess i'll have to go by myself to see Hairy Plotter. No one to go with. Sigh. Sad.
Chicken and grapes! I can do that, but rice isn't on the diet just yet. Neither would the tomato pie be, but I am super-intrigued by that. And quiche! Oh yes, how I love quiche! I need to get more eggs and make me one, cut it up and have for lunches too. I don't eat out, so these are great ideas.
