Bad mood continues. Not sure why. I am blaming nasty August humidity getting on every last nerve as a better alternative to wacky brain chemistry.

Perhaps I am just not sleeping well enough. I go through these spells where I am unable to turn my brain off, so I just toss and turn all night, having odd dreams.

And then if I DO managed to get to fine relaxing sleep the cat will then wake me up with that perversely wonderful timing of his.

Did my obligatory Sunday visit with the parents. Always seems way longer than three hours. It includes dinner, so that's always a plus.

Today it was ham steak (fried black and crispy. yuck. mom does rather prefer her meat incinerated. I would rather it still be edible!), an unexpectedly yummy pineapple bread pudding made with rye bread, and broccoli. With a chaser of peanut butter ripple ice cream.

So overdone, super salty ham aside... not too shabby.

The parentals are currently obsessed with golf, which interests me not a whit... so we get to watch hours and hours of it while I'm there.

But I'm home now. Since Law and Order: Criminal Intent has wrapped it's season on USA, I have nothing to watch on the tv.

Hopefully I will find something. I should be reading The Time Traveller's Wife, but I just can't get into it. If I pick up a book it will more likely be that Wimsey-verse mystery where Lord Peter is trying to get his brother out of jail...
