bluecastleBack at work and trying to catch up. Really didn't want to be off yesterday but in the aftermath of a very sick cat (who knew cats could throw up that much!!) I thought I should take the day to watch him and make sure he was doing okay. Also I was exhausted from an evening of lying on my bedroom floor staring at him under my bed and worrying he was about to die any minute. Blech.
Poor thing slept with (and at one point he crawled up ON me) night before last so I knew he must really not have been feeling well. But last night he was perky enough to be pouncing on things, thank goodness. Now if I only knew what happened or what he got into so I can make sure that doesn't happen again!!
Woke up at 4:30 this morning with a pounding headache as well, which so far is being mostly handled with painkillers which is good as I could not miss another day's work. Too much going on here this week. Just trying to hang on with my fingernails until tomorrow which is our last day of work til I think Jan. 2nd.
Between the headache and the stress it was one of those nights where I'd wake up every two hours, and had lots of crazy dreams. Many of them were of the I have a house full of odd furniture and I'm needing to arrange it in the best way possible variety. I have those a lot. I've been thinking a lot lately about changes I want to try and make next year so it doesn't take a genius to figure out those getting your house in order dreams. There was one where one of the pieces of furniture was one with a lot of velvet lined drawers and compartments that had cool vintage stuff inside it. I remember looking at a double sided holiday apron, and then I think I woke up or something and I remember being upset I didn't get to really look at the other stuff in there! LOL
So I'll just be here trying to get through the day and putting copious amounts of antibiotic ointment on the impressive scratches I got from my cat when I tried and failed to get him into his carrier with the hope of taking him to the vet. Neither thing happened... and I got the scratches the prove it!!
