bluecastleHm.... just got word from the uber-boss about some major personnel changes coming to the department.
I wonder if a tiny bit of my unease lately hasn't been me picking up on the imminent changes vibes w/o realizing it.
Don't guess it matters, but y'know ... random thoughts are random.
Tough couple of days, and I'm not really sure why. Just a general sense of FAIL and I seriously just wanted to go back under the covers and have a weep this morning. But I lured myself to work with the promise of fancy coffee and donuts, and spent all morning listening to the first couple of hours of an epically long Merlin/Arthur podfic. (seriously it runs about 15 hours).
Stayed home from Movie Monday last night as my ISP was supposed to call and see why my home internet is so slow as to be almost useless, but surprise surprise they didn't call me. Email still works on my iTouch, and twitter most of the time, so that's the most important bits. So might take myself to the movies tonight. Anything is better than sitting at home brooding and waiting.
Well, okay, so sitting at home waiting last night did give me a chance for a first read through Alison Bechdel's new graphic memoir about her mother (and about herself.) MAN there's a lot of therapy included. If mother issues and/or therapists who study same are your thing check it out. Very strange to read a book about places I've acted in, and homes I've been in (albeit briefly. I forget why I was at her mom's house whenever it was. Something about costumes...). And way to get more information about one of my high school English teachers than I really wanted, interesting tho it is.
And let's just say I recognized a lot of the mother issues, though in slightly different contexts.
