(no subject)

so it turns out that if you go to bed early its easier to get up in the morning. who knew? ;)

still sort of low-level depressed, of the variety where crawling back under the covers and sleeping the day away sounds MARVELOUS.

but I was up a little after 7 this morning, made toast and coffee (which turns out to be only barely drinkable when there's no milk in the house).

so I will putter along and hope for the best. 

before giving up and going to bed I tried an art journal page, which I don't hate but it felt like I was forcing it. also, I find that my brain doesn't like switching gears between the painting etc, and the words. some days are sloshing paint around to make backgrounds days, and some days are days with words. last night I tried to put words (okay it was just a quote I'd found Iiked, but still) on a page during a backgrounds day. Hard to explain, but it just didn't FEEL right. but I did something. and I am pretty sure I can add to the page and make it something I really like, but it just wasn't really working for me last night. 

off here in a bit to work on a page my supervisor gave me yesterday ... that she was given in ... wait for it ... FEBRUARY. ugh. It's just moving books from one shelving location to another. Its not frickin rocket science.

I find that my brain doesn't like switching gears between the painting etc, and the words. I know what you mean, with regard to vidding and writing. I can't seem to do both at once. Which is why I never make any vids, I get stuck in the writing mode, even though I love making vids.

I like black coffee in the morning, with cream any other time.
