This is probably meant to be read in a positive light ... but it struck me at the perfect embodiment of the horror that was middle and high school for me.

I am not fond of those years... which is why I never look back, never go to reunions, never connect on facebook (and why I avoid facebook and always have). Those years were torment, mostly spent in a sea of nothingness. I did not get happy until college, where I met people like me. Never look back I say -

yeah, I'm convinced I've got some level of ptsd-ness from 6-12th grades and the fuckery w/in. not that college was that much better,actually, just less actual bullying.

awww.... Yeah... I like meeting people through this medium because it generally (though not always) reflects the INSIDE which the protective shells allow us to meet first. :) So many of the most awesome coolest people I know are convinced they are crippingly shy in real life. Nick was like that!
