bluecastleUGH. Had a horrible dream right before I woke up involving wounded kitties (I'll spare you the gory visuals). Although oddly it was a variant of a dream I always have when I've overslept. The details are usually variable, but it almost always involves me trying to make a telephone call, and failing repeatedly to dial correctly (I don't even know. Someone explain my unconscious to me). Except this time I hadn't overslept -- well, any more than usual. UGH. Send brain bleach.
But it's December 1st. I like think I'm always more hopeful at the start of a month that things will go well. I have on my snowflake/firework beaded cardigan (yeah, they're snowflakes, but I tell myself if I think of them as fireworks I can wear the sweater for longer than just the winter time LOL.)
All thru November I was taking an on-line art journaling class, which was fun, and pushed me to do a couple pages I really loved, but while I go back and forth all the time, I think I've finally come down on the side of preferring to work on loose sheets of watercolor paper. Mostly this is because I prefer to sew my paper layers together and you can't really do that in a bound book. But also because you can pick and choose, and combine in ways you can't necessarily do when working from a set structure. I love the page I did last night, and I'll try and keep working like that and just bind up the pages when I'm done. Also its easier to work on a bunch of random backgrounds if you can set them around to dry, and I like to do a lot of layers and the like.
Also while puttering around on my art table last night I think I figured out my holiday card this year. If I've sent you one before, chances are good I'm going to send you one this year. But if you'd like a card, or have moved or whatever, PM your addy and I'll add you to the list :) Depending on how much time I have/how productive I am over the next little while there might be an extra goodie in with it as well. I don't really have very many people other than my parents to do gifts for ... so I love putting together little bundles of goodies!!
