bluecastlewoke up with nasty headache ... not improved by the cat who kept trying to curl up on my FACE. REPEATEDLY.
am wearing purple today ... actually my purple Eeyore pj shirt under a sweater. The sweater has purple argyles. not sure my wearing some special color shirt really does anything to support a cause, no matter how worthy, but hey, it's purple. :)
although it did bring to mind this utterly stupid THING in high school where kids used to run around saying if you wore green on Thursday it meant you were gay. part of me kind of wants to know how something so ridiculous ever got started. because it was like some sort of codified superstition. because really. wtf?
rehearsal last night was super stressful. for a variety of reasons, not least of which because we have so few rehearsals, we've got a lot to get done, and not always enough time to gentle people through the process. but it left me wanting hugs.
had the strangest beef noodle soup for lunch. had cherry tomatoes and broccoli in it. Super tasty, and super tender bits of beef. but weird.
sitting here in my darkened office, hiding from my headache and hoping someone gives me stuff to do. but then I'm off until Tuesday!
hoping to maybe get out and get some Fall pictures tomorrow morning(ish). Doing the Project Life photo album/scrapbook combo thing is great, but it does mean I need 7 half-way decent pictures each week. I need to get better about the journaling that goes along with the pictures, but I'm still really happy with my book. and next year's kit is even cooler and quirkier than the kit I used this year.
off now to groan quietly and contemplate how soon I can take the next batch of painkillers.

I think all of it is just ways for groups to help set themselves above others by making stupid rules only insiders get to know. My uni, the big thing was women didn't carry purses, which was a great way to spot the firsties/frosh and taunt them until they got the point.
