Prepping all these lists of Art and Art History books to go to off-site storage makes me want to be independently wealthy so I can just hang in the library all day every day and read and look and absorb all this ART. It gives me visual journal ideas. And a little frisson of joy to know that these books ... and others just like them ... are just outside my office door. I want to have to time spread out books on a big table, and gather my journaling supplies .... and take inspiration from the books, and make MORE art ... and ...
Meanwhile I chase my tail and try and get these lists done, so that I can go back and tidy up the ones I've done previously so that by Oct. 1 we're ready to go with lists of books and journals to pull and send to the annex(es).
Super sleepy this morning. Went to bed late-ish as I was waiting for something on the computer to finish, and got distracted into putting together my photo scrapbook I've been keeping this year. It's such a cool system ... a pocket for a picture (or some other bit of ephemera) and a journaling card for each day of the year (or however often you choose to keep up with it). Some weeks I take more pictures than others. (And now I have lots of kitten pictures if not much else!) But aside from the pictures, I like being able to put in other things in other sized pocket protectors. For last week I slipped Jinx's latest vet visit receipt, and his rabies cert in one page protector, and in another, the audition announcement and a page of sheet music plus the senior center schedule which mentions our performance. I haven't done a "typical" scrapbook layout in quite a while, but if I were doing them, you can slip them in the giant notebook (it weighs 7,000 pounds already!) and presto, at the end of the year you've got a book of YOU. Granted I'm about 2 months behind in the journaling part of it all ... but the nice thing is it's so easy to play catch up, and if I never do add the words, I can just slip patterned paper in the pockets and call it done! Easy peasy.
Seems like I had other stuff I wanted to say, but 'tis flown my addled brain. And I've got to get back to cutting, pasting, searching and annotating.
