bluecastleSo, at this morning's show (as an aside, who schedules a whole school assembly at 9 a.m.???) several of the 200 or so kids were brave enough to come up and talk to us, and that was adorable. But the winner by far was the little girl, who during the show, when ceecee couldn't remember where she'd put her prop cell phone ... and lori was trying to call her on it ... piped up, loud and clear as a bell "you put it in the pocket of your bag." LOL At least we know that little girl was paying attention :)
Show went well, I'm wore out, as they say around here, from three days of madness trying to pull it all together. From rough draft, to completed draft, to finished show in a week. YEEP. No wonder we're exhausted.
Anyway... just got back from taking myself out for Chinese food as I was being all lazy and not wanting to cook. As a consequence you get the delight of this overheard conversation from the two kids at the table next to mine:
girl: Did you know there was a country where they ring a bell five times a day, and the people have to stop what they're doing and pray wherever they are?
boy: Even if they're under a whole nest of bees? Or wasps?
pause.
pause.
boy: Well, I guess they could pray as they were running away from the wasps...
Slightly muddled theology aside ... OH I LOL'd. :)
