Finding myself in a bitch-tastic mood this morning for some reason. (Hormones? Having to leave my warm, kitty filled bed? Global warming? Who knows) So I thought I would do a fic round up of some stuff that's been eating my brain lately.

I was up late last night listening to the podfic version of The Death and Resurrection of the English Language and was blown away all over again at what an amazing Sherlock story it is. I think I might have mentioned it before, but if you haven't read it yet, get on that. Or listen to it. Sherlock is clearly more of a psycopath in this than he is in canon, but from the 'what if he really was crackers' department it's breathtaking.

Then yesterday in an attempt to distract myself from headache pain at work I stumbled across If I Fell. D/s pornish fics don't do a lot for me in general. But I do like the exploration of power in relationships outside of the sex. And while initially I thought 'Sherlock as a sub, yeah, this is not going to work.' But somehow, at least in this fic, it does. And does some really brilliant things with John and his military background.

Then there was the Owen fic I read the other day, A Trip, A Punch, and Willing. Owen, flirting with Ianto. Another thing you'd think wouldn't work, but this Owen is twisty, and I always love seeing people try and suss him out.

To that end... time traveling Owen who in Second Look finds himself running into past!Ianto at a very crucial point in Ianto's TW3 tenure.

So here... have fic instead of listening to me whinge. Might be a good time, given my mood, to go and find some MORE Owen fic. His is rather the voice in my head today. :D
