Here's a cool quote on this sunny Friday afternoon.

"There was something awesome in the thought of the solitary mortal standing by the open window and summoning in from the gloom outside the spirits of the nether world." -- Sir Arthur Conan Coyle

Ties in a bit to the creeptastic "Pick a Number" episode of Carnivale (sex, death, ghosts) that I watched last night. Poor Dora Mae. Totally horrific ... offset a tiny tiny bit by the guest appearance of the Scottish Auden poem reading guy from "Three Weddings and a Funeral" as the mining town bartender/sacrifical lamb.

Carnivale makes me want to be a better storyteller. How DO you learn to tell stories?

I do always worry that someone will (re)watch something I love and hate it ... But I am totally fascinated by it ATM. I can offer bonus nearly naked and wet Tim DeKay :)

How DO you learn to tell stories? I wish I knew! I feel incredibly deficient in this area. Stories just don't come naturally to me. I get scenarios in my head, but not plots.
