Friday has not been great so far. I blame my lack of poptarts.
But I come with a question for those of you with paid LJ accounts. Right now this is a theoretical question as I am out of money for the month already ... but I am sick of the ad's blocking my pages ... and I am tired of rationing my icons ... but on the other hand, do I really really want to give ol ell jay my money? So what do you think, my mavens? Is a paid LJ account worth it?
The MI-5 re-watch goes on. (it may take a while) But they did something interesting while they were transitioning leading men. Leading man #1's big character arc for seasons 1 and 2 is about how he keeps trying to have and ultimately failing at keeping a relationship outside of his work. Hell, it's a large part of most of the character arcs! But they bring in leading man #2 and in his like third episode, they drop in a small scene where he nips out of the office to go buy his wife sexy lingerie for their anniversary. So. Now. Instead of it being this, it's hard to have a relationship if you're a spy thing, maybe now it's Leading Man #1 was a bit crap with the interpersonal stuff? Dunno yet, as its early days for Leading man #2. Just the weird kind of crap that ends up twisting up my brains.
So here's to Friday!!! And I'm off to get FOOD!

Thus far it hasn't actually been quite enough to tip me into paying for something that I already have for free and I am perversely proud of sticking to my ancient Basic account. But the ads bug me and if I had a Plus account I am sure I would have converted to Paid already.
*Honest, you would. I stick a postcard with a poll in The Boy's lunch almost everyday. I am a big hit with the honor students who eat out in the courtyard.

Date: 2010-08-23 05:46 am (UTC)I think it's a bit of both. I think Tom's not that great at the inter-personal, but he's also involved in relationships that aren't that compatible with his job because they're either with outsiders he can't always be truthful with or with someone who is on the job, but might be considered "the enemy". I think Adam's situation is a bit different because his wife is on the job so that avoids a lot of the problems Tom got himself entangled in, but they still have their own issues.
