a couple things...
Jul. 15th, 2010 10:10 am1. Ok kids. I still haven't wrapped my brain around all things Dreamwidth. That whole "circle" thing makes my head hurt trying to figure out the nuances of it.
But I'm over there if you wanna add me, same user name at
valancy_joy .
2. Spent two hours last night crawling around inside the mind of my serial killer OC as I work on my longfic. Dark and demented, yes, but strangely appealing to write. Man... I don't want to know what that says about the inside of my own head! I could have gone SO MUCH DARKER. My brain is skeery!
Also, the longfic is turning out to be much darker than I anticipated... at least in the opening bits that set the story in motion. But, see, I figure it takes quite a lot to send Jack Harkness off the rails, and I want him good and messed up, so....
3. I'm re-reading this book on writing and it's giving me some great advice, but mostly I'm focusing on the "the book [fic] will teach you how to write the book [fic]." I generally do not do long, plotty things, and so it's terrifying, but sort of fun to really dig around inside of a story for a while.
4. Why are all the good shows on TV on Tuesday nights?
