Interesting post in the NYT about how libraries deal with works the public finds offensive. (Torchwood fans might smile over the fact that the article is framed by an incident over a Tintin book which is now in a restricted collection!)

In real life, place of work news, today is the day designated “clean up day” … which basically means that once a year we’re supposed to turf out stuff we never get around to touching the other 364 days of the year. And then there is a picnic. I did my part and tossed some old files in my bottom desk drawer from when this desk used to belong to someone else, back when we were in the other building. Dittos from the 1970s … and better yet… unearthed a stack of actual telegrams that I saved when I tossed the bulk of our antiquated files before we moved buildings. Kept ‘em in case I ever needed a prop, but it’s fun to read

Of no particular note, except it makes me happy, my usual Sheetz now sells pizza. I have from time to time thought a slice of pizza would make a good lunch, and now I may have the opportunity to make good on that.

Picked up some letter stickers at lunch when I went to BigLots for toothpaste and dish soap. Was trying to stick to my list, but these were too good a deal to pass up.

Also… some travel stickers for the album I’m making in preparation of my trip to Vermont. It will not be as fabulous as this album … but maybe I can make something that’s inspired by it.

Been collaging like crazy in my stuffy little studio. I must be in a visual phase. I seem to tick back and forth between the visual and the verbal these days.
