finally...

bluecastlean update from the home office (i.e. my mother). my dad finally has a date for his surgery-i-zation. After a lot of run around between the GP's office (resulting from retirement of said GP) and the surgeon's office, and the ex-GP's PAs ... they are finally ready to take him in monday (sometime) to get his hernia fixed.
they're going to keep him overnight for a number of reasons, but for the most part non worry making reasons. just cautious.
it remains to be seen how much of a pain in the ass he will be as he recovers. unwell = grumpy! grumpy old man. but I suspect he is happy to have a date for this finally so he can plan instead of just sitting and waiting for some doctors office to call him back.
anyway... so back to today's assortment of videos ... political speeches, little adopted chinese babies, female mariachi bands, and the mongol hordes. all of which is way better than that 40 dvd superbowl series the I keep trying to ignore.
