Nov. 27th, 2012 10:26 amWoke up to snow this morning! Lovely 'makes the trees and buildings pretty but mostly doesn't make driving a pain in the ass' snow! Huzzah!
So I put on some knee socks and a skirt, and my cardigan with the beaded snowflakes on it, grabbed my wellies and went out into the day!
And then I discovered someone has started a Sherlock/Ballet Shoes crossover. I was initially dubious but the first chapter was okay. I actually quite like the idea that The Children's Academy of Dancing and Stage Training is still around and that Sherlock was a student there. Surely they added fencing after it went co-ed ... :) But it is a WIP so we shall see. Ballet Shoes is one of those childhood books for me which you don't mess with!!
Actually I guess if you add together Noel Streatfeild books and Louisa May Alcott's books you get me. With added bonuses from the Little House books from my prairie phase :)
Yesterday at work was nutso, but hoping today is calmer. Time to start planning my supervisor's retirement party at any rate. And stare out windows at the winter wonderland outside. :))
