So I've committed to working in my art journal daily ... at least for January ... but hopefully every day for a year. (Trying not to think about this in big terms though, more like "just 10 minutes a day at least.")

But what I'm finding is that the visual play time is taking me away from verbal play time. I've noticed it before, but it's still true... if I'm spending time "arting" I'm not spending time writing.

And I don't like that.

So among the many things I am mulling over right now, I am trying to think of ways to balance the two. If anyone has any ideas... let me have 'em.

My first suspicion is that I need my writing notebook back. And maybe some assigned writing time. But I'd have to find someone to keep me accountable for the writing time of it will get procrastinated away ...

Trying not to nail down the first idea, but think about what will work best. This seems to be the month of introspection so far. Not such a bad thing for January, eh?
