So, had a friends!date with mah pal CeeCee and her hubby last night. They're both teachers and super busy and I haven't seen them in forever. Last time I think was when we went to the wee!college town to hear hubby play at the coffee place. CeeCee is just insanely busy trying to teach a full load here at work!Uni and drive to Jersey every weekend to work on her theater company's shows.

After a couple of drinks and a giant piece of chocolate cake and three hours of conversation, I was a much more relaxed human bean last night. My bed still hates me and gives me achey nights sleeps, but...

1. We've got another one of our staged radio shows for senior centers scheduled for early December, and two more for early January. LOVE THOSE! And it's tooting my own horn, but I do have rather a facility for those just slightly larger than life radio commercials/soap opera-y kinds of things.

2. They've invited me over Thanksgiving day eve for pie. Only rule is MUST WEAR PJs. CLEAN ONES :D lol. They do hibernation Thanksgiving where they put on their jammies and put food in whenever and just enjoy the lazy day. Doesn't that sound great? So I expect that after family Thanksgiving and the annual fight over having two kinds of potatoes I'll drop by Casa Comfy and nestle in with them and their kitties for a bit.

3. If I can pull it off, I may have invited myself over Christmas Day Eve for the BBCA Doctor Who Christmas special. :) The only thing better than Dr Who on Christmas is Doctor Who with friends!!

4. I'm light on the details, and its a skeery thing, but my CeeCee is, I think, teaching creative writing next semester on Tuesday nights and has said I can audit it if I want. Do I have the nerve to take a writing class and all that? We'll see. But I'd be stupid to pass up the opportunity I think.

So. Wow. I love these guys.

But now, back to work on this three day week. We get Thursday off, and sort of have to take Friday off (they can't make us as its not an official holiday, but our office and the library are closed, so...). The students (and profs) however, have the whole week off. How this is fair, I am not sure, but OTOH there are only 21 more work days this year, so I can't/won't complain too much.

a/n: Yeah, I don’t know exactly what this is. The first sentence, mildly edited, was some prompt that got me going on NaNo day 2. Felt like posting something today so I tarted it up, and here it is in all it’s oddity.
