Here I am hopped up on caffeine and pop tarts ... so let me tell you about my weekend.

Wait. What weekend?

Saturday I spent several hours at my parents house hooking up their digital cable converter. I should note that they don't actually HAVE digital cable... but if you have the digital box hooked up to your analog cable, you get more channels that with analog alone. I do not really understand this... but am willing to go with the flow.

I work for an AV department, y'know ... but it doesn't help when the CableCo's instruction pictures are WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!!!

After staring at the fuzzy set for like 45 minutes and trying to call for help, only to be put on hold... I read the instruction WORDS and realized I needed one more cable wire. I still don't think their On Demand thing works right ... but it's not like they're going to be ordering PPV movies any time soon, so I'll let that go.

It was reported to me Sunday morning that some channel that my Dad could get on the upstairs TV with the big box he couldn't get downstairs on the TV with the little converter box. Sorry Hallmark Movie Channel... you lose! But at least my Dad got his Turner Classic Movies back. We were not best pleased when the CableCo took that off basic cable and moved it to the digital package. :P

But back to Saturday. I came home from my parents with a headache ... took a break ... and then fired up the computer to send out a bunch of PR stuff for this community wide theatrical event we're doing on May 1st. On one level, not much to calling up about 10 or so online community calendars and entering the information, but as I said on Twitter, all that data entry ended up with me feeling all eye-stabby!!

Sunday I woke up determined to get some writing done. I have GOT to put some time in on my dark-fest story so I can get it done in time to round up some beta-ing before the deadline ...

but ...

I turned on the TV while I was eating my cinnamon toast only to discover that SyFy was running a day long Merlin season one marathon... so my ass was glued the couch for the next 12 hours. I did have to miss three episodes when I went to my parents for Sunday dinner... but I am more or less caught up now, and ready for SyFy to start airing season two this coming Friday night!

Have concluded it's possible to ship Merlin with EVERYONE ... bonus points for anyone who can point me to Merlin/Lancelot fic. :D

So... got nothing done I wanted to... but between Prince Caspian from Netflix and Merlin on SyFy I spent my weekend surrounded by hunky Princes. That can't be all bad!!!

Once upon a time in a previous fandom ... I wrote a series of little doodads about the Law and Order: Criminal Intent characters and food.

In honor and/or memorium of the series nine premiere/finale tomorrow night... I thought I'd post one of them a day over here.
