monday update

So, just got back from dinner out with my two RL friends, after which we went to the movies and saw "It's Complicated" -- which was enjoyable, and points to why hiring the best actors you can get is the way to go.

One of the two friends was the previously monikered "invisible best friend" who's been more visible lately (who knew all it would take is showing him Farmville?!) Actually must consider upgrading him to opaque ... or vellum or something. He's been trying, and so I must give him his due. He had his own shit to deal with last year ... and he's said on Facebook his Christmas gift to me was to try and be a better friend.

Cue the awwww's.... :0)

Whatever, I'll take what I can get. It's just odd. We used to be closer than close, to the point that everyone assumed we were dating... but we never exactly were. But now it's a bit like he's a stranger, and a bit like my best friend. But as with everything ever between us, it just IS, and doesn't bear too much talking about.

Elsewise, the post man delivered Holiday Cards today from verasteine  and electro_club . Thanks guys ... it's always a thrill to get mail from foreign shores!!

Spent the day doing laundry and dishes. If I keep at it I might be caught up by the new year.

Also, I am trying to convince myself of my noble intentions when I went clickety-click late last night and ordered a Wii ... and the Wii Fit Plus.

The first 15 pounds came off w/o much if any exercise. But now it's time to get my slug butt off the couch. Any added movement at this point will be a plus.

(The un-noble/ignoble part of me also ordered the "Carnival Games" for some good old fashioned F.U.N. !!! :0)

Tomorrow I get to move ONE of the bookcases back into the new guest room ... and then proceed to weed my book collection by about HALF. This is not going to be pretty...
