Riding an adrenaline high as I nearly smashed up my car on the drive into work. I came around a turn and the truck in front of me was stopped to let a milk truck pull out. What with the rain slick roads there was much squealing of tires and sudden prayers, but I managed to get stopped in time.
I already had a headache, so that didn't help things.
Then I got to work and found out my umbrella was in my other bag... and it was pouring outside. The only mollifying thing was that I found a space in the closest parking lot. Still got soggy.
But I got my LOCI recap for Salome in Manhattan posted ... and other Goldblumy goodness over at The Eleventh Floor. Say what you want, Goldblum knows how to work his image... and pitch his current projects.
I get tonight off from rehearsal while the actress continues to work on characterization. Last night's session of Acting 101 was entitled "don't sit down if you don't feel like sitting down." Honestly. Small liberal arts colleges. What is your acting curriculum? But at least she's getting this now. She's young and she will adapt. (and hopefully flourish).
Doctor springing my Dad from the hospital today. It remains to be seen how much pain he'll be in (and how cranky that will make him). But I'm sure he'll be glad to be at home.
