spring fever? sunspots? full moon? halp.

It's very quiet in the library today. Well, except for some construction as they finish up the last phase of the first floor renovation. Also most of the staff in this department are off today for one reason or another.

Doing a lot of navel gazing as I try and construct a character. The thing about process pieces still in process is ... well... they're in process. In development. I have an awesome poem and the vague beginnings of a character, but where I take it from here is up to me. And I'm bad about making more or less random character choices.

Also, I am attributing this to the change in seasons but I'm very unsettled lately. Like I don't know who I am anymore. My outsides don't match my insides or something, and I hate 90% of my clothes. I swear I'm taking EVERYTHING out of my closet tonight and only putting the 25 best things back in it. UGH. I don't know what it is. Growing pains? When I'm at work I want to be at home. When I'm at home I want to be asleep. It's terrible feeling this itchy brain feeling.

Yeah. I don't know. The job's good. I'm sleeping pretty well since the bedroom renovation. (If you don't count the cat sneak attacking my face from behind the window curtains). I'm just ... awkward.

Lots of things don't make sense in my head right now. Hopefully I figure out something to make things better... otherwise I'm just twirling around making the world spinny until I fall over! LOL

well, I got it down to about 50 things ... which will go up when I get the dirty clothes washed. but I know I can pare stuff down a bit more... I have so much stuff in the "maybe" pile. I think it's going into storage for me to look at later.

not sure if depressed ... doesn't exactly feel like that, though it could be I suppose ... just ... lumpy or something. :)

well, not sure my sources are super useful. I kept 5 skirts in the closet ...

blue pleated -- thrifted
grey circle skirt -- made by me
jeans skirt -- online ... um ... somewhere...
black and white gingham skirt -- so old I so don't remember where it came from

They're spendy ... but you can customize stuff ... they don't make it until you order it.

bottoms I usually have to buy online as they don't carry my size in actual stores for the most part.

tops ... I hit places like TJ Maxx and Ross for cheap stuff that's sometimes a bit different (this can be good or bad) from run of the mill Target type stuff, but it's very hit and miss.

not super helpful, I know.

But I can give you one piece of good news ... my friends bookstore now has -- after SOOOO many postponements -- an actual reopening date ... April 14th!!! :)))

having taken out the trash and packed a lunch... I am toddling off to bed now. sweet dreams sweetie.

also also ... I know there's a big debate about how evil Pinterest is right now, but I've found it really helpful to pin stuff I see that I like and then look to see what the patterns are. You can gather the pictures with bookmarks, or something like Evernote or the like, but I've found it fascinating to see stuff that keep cropping up -- lace, and that shade of blue among them. Also, it's a lot of pretty :)))
