Hey, what a great comment! Thanks! (although this is actually my third foray into Sherlock land ;)
I have to admit, the third bit with the violin was inspired by this beautiful fic

which makes me cry every time I read it.
I liked the idea that this sort of banishment of Sherlock to his granny's might have ended up being not punishment, but reward...
