Planning to attend sale with my Dad tomorrow. His cousin's family home (and the contents) are up for auction. I know he wants to go and give Chet a picture or two that he has... but I suspect the ulterior motive in getting me to go along is that he wants to stop at the gun range on the way home and show me his newest pistol. Guns don't really do anything for me, except in the sort of general life skills, it ought to be useful to know how to fire a gun kind of way. But Dad seems to like the father/daughter bonding time, so I can do that. Hopefully he'll leave the German Ruger at home. I had bruises on my shoulder for a week last time with the kick from that particular gun!
The never-ending headache is only a minor annoyance today. Took a melatonin last night hoping to get some better sleep. I think it helped a bit, and it's not quite as narcotic feeling as the other OTC sleep aids I've got. I like the sleep I get from those, but hate the feeling that if I really needed to wake up in the middle of the night for some reason I would have trouble doing so. Maybe it just taps into one of my recurring nightmares where I'm awakened by a burglar or some such person who wishes me harm, but I can't move cause I'm not fully awake yet... hate that feeling.
But in more fun news, it's FRIDAY!! I want to get caught up on Criminal Minds tonight (missed the first two of this season somehow) and I've got disc 2 of Carnivale to watch. Friday night on the couch ... maybe I'll order a pizza and have a little pig out its the weekend party for myself!
But now... LUNCH!
