Laid around watching Katherine Hepburn break my heart as the lonely spinster in "Summertime." On the plus side, Rossano Brazzi is sex on a stick. When I was Big Mama in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" I made myself a gardenia wrist corsage to wear... Something melancholy to me about a gardenia...
Million things to do before tomorrow night. Have packed up the costume dress, my Garcia-esque glittery cardigan, ALL the underpinnings, and both pairs of possible shoes... packed up the makeup and the fake hair and the costume jewelry. Have not looked at my script. Also shaved my legs and gave them a going over with fake tan so that my pasty pudgy legs will not blind the old people...
Exhausted but have NO inclination to sleep. Between the patriotic war songs ... and the Rinso commericals floating around in my head, it's a bit of a mess in my brain right now.
Also, taking another online class making another kind of journal, so I hacked apart an old book tonight, and cut new pages from the giant 100# paper I got at lunchtime today, so that I can sew them together and make myself a handbound journal. So cool. I just have no time for it... but it's not like I'm under any deadline ... but I don't have time to drag all the paints out and make messes. Maybe Saturday. It looks like I have the day off rehearsals for the summer thing ... although the class showcase must be rehearsed, so free time may not end up being free.
