gah. or maybe guh.
So have gotten nothing done work related this morning. So while I ponder going out and getting something for lunch (although I had to park in the farthest lot and don't really want to walk out to my car in the COLD) ... here are a few things I have skimmed off the surface of mah brain.
Some days ago, a Yahoo alert popped up this interview with James Marsters about Twilight, Torchwood, Caprica and the power of pissing people off.
I twittered the link, but if you didn't see it there ... here it is ... and I still want to know if the stuff JM's niece is writing is fanfic. Wouldn't that be lovely?
Also via Twitter (only the other way 'round) courtesy of @dorothymarley -- (TW: 2008: poisontaster: Coda and Requiem) (WHO IS SHE? Her Delicious bookmarks get posted to Twitter, that's all I know) a Dub-con Post-Cyberwoman story from Feb. 2008 that I really liked.
Ianto keeps trying to disassociate, Jack keeps trying to make him FEEL... and the memories of Lisa keep getting jumbled up with the reality of Jack. Good stuff there
poisontaster .
On the writing front, I have vowed to myself I will write at least 100 words on "Lust" today -- given that it's Torchwood, this should not be difficult. Now I just have to pick a victim. Any suggestions? It just can't be Gwen. I used her last week.
And I went crazy again and signed up for
dark_fest -- I always wanted to read a story where Ianto comes back after his suspension in order to exact revenge upon Jack as he said he would. So when that prompt popped up, I thought... maybe I'll have a go at writing that. So now I'm leting my imagination play in the dark twisty corners of Ianto's mind. Fortunately there are a lot of them :)
On RL front, I am planning a movie monster night to make mah pals watch GDL's Shlock ... um Sherlock thing. Also on the offing are Shark Attack 3 (LOL) and the MST3K episode where the watch the ever hilarious "KILLER SHREWS" (which look a lot like German Shepards with mop heads stuck on them to me). On the menu... breakfast foods.
OH AND (What made me think I didn't have anything to talk about?) I have been tapped by Director Cee to go and help out with the local poetry recitation competition this coming Monday morning. Much like a spelling bee there's this local level of competition to select our representative to the state competition. So reports on that of a Monday.
OK... lunchtime!
