Hey there! The Santa hats have been taken off and put away so I can finally say I wrote a SEEKRIT Lewis fic for [livejournal.com profile] dracofiend. YAY!!

I'm so happy with the way it turned out! I suspect you've already read it if you're at all interested in Lewis fics ... but in case ... here's the public link and whatnot. Various literary quotations, and a bunch of stolen Whitman to start it off. Books, loneliness, cricket, bacon rolls... what's not to love in this? LOLS.

Did you see me kind of spill the beans in a post? Oops. :D Not that I have enough Lewis fen on my flist that it wouldn't have gotten around, or anything, but, you know, dumb. Yay sweet story!

I doubt there were seekrit santa spies on the lookout ;) And I realized later I probably should have redacted my beta reader ... but whatever *said with gusto* ... it was all FUN.

Not fun has been this cold, and how busy work has been with a new supervisor taking over ... but it's all improving (well hopefully).

Seekrit Santa is a very cloak and dagger operation. :D It's not likely many people would remember I'd betaed for you before, unless they actually ARE Robbie and James, in which case they shouldn't be reading, anyway. It was all quite fun! If I'm not doing next year's holiday play, I might do a fest or two. (Famous last words.)

Ew, cold + busy = not good. What a bad time for a busy type to show up and start doing things. Lots of fluids and vitamins and rest for you when you're not there!

Hi! Thanks again for writing such a wonderful fic! It was very comforting, and perfect and mild, just the way I like it - lots of action in quiet movements and thoughts behind the words. I really enjoyed it - thank you so much! ♥

Oh your prompt was an absolute joy to work on. :) I'm so glad you liked it. I quite like it too!

And I got to work in all that cricket from my early Morse episode viewing!

*happy dances*

:) Yeah, I forgot to mention the cricket references were great! I saw that episode of Morse too - don't you just love baby Lewis?? Haven't made my way through all the Morse episodes (got a disc from Netflix sitting on the DVD player even now!) but I did start at the beginning. It's interesting how Lewis suddenly seriouses up, maybe a third of the way into the Morse series. His hair gets more product, his face gets more stern, and he's just all over a little less wise-cracky. Guess it helps the transition from Morse to Lewis, but still - I liked his carefree happy go lucky self, and I like to think that as he gets closer to Hathaway and to retirement, that earlier, younger version of himself starts shining through more and more. :)

Oh, I'm up through the 16th Morse (thanks to some kind soul and YouTube :) and baby Lewis is the best ever. He's just starting to push back against Morse when he gets obsessive and its lovely to see. I want to smush him!!!
